Watching PITT vs UCONN...
« on: January 16, 2007, 06:42:02 PM »
PITT up 19-16 with under 4min left in the first half. While I don't particularly enjoy cheering for PITT, I would like to see them win this game handily. Even as well as we're playing, the last thing MU needs is to head into the Pete next Sunday to face an angry, experienced Panthers squad.

I agree, Pitt coming off of a loss will be even tougher than normal.  Gray has a big stat line, but I haven't been very impressed with him.  We have to be able to lock down their 3 point shooters(Ramon and Fields).

uconn tied it up and took the lead a few times a few minutes into the 2nd... pitt has come back and now leads 53-40 with 2:24 left in 2nd.

It's obvious UCONN can be beaten inside. Look at Barros numbers...It appears that Calhoun has got to solve the void in the middle problem or else every team's going inside and slapping the Huskies around.

Gray has improved a great deal over last year-----has developed a a very good jump hook, Knows how to locate the open man when doubled and how to get the ball to him----a real stud off the glass-----also seems to have more endurance this year!

Was most improved last year in the BE-----and gets my vote as most improved this year!
