I hope he gets to call some actual TV games in the future.

Analysis guy was talking about how Buzz needs to recruit to fill the Amigos void. Dickey follows up by saying that Buzz is known for recruiting and has a great class coming in. Did his homework and has called the game very well.

Though it sounds like he's referred to Depaul as "our team" several times.  On the other hand, he suggested Jerel as the best defensive player in college ball, so maybe it cancels out

Yeah, he is a quality announcer alright. He compared McNeal to Micheal Redd of all people. Oh, and he threw in Bonzi Wells to go with Redd. I don't know about you guys, but I think you can find a much better comparison for McNeal than those two guys,

No, you didn't go crazy. He definitely said that. Something about pizza delivery. That's almost a Dicky V comment.

After the pizza comment he referred to McNeal as "Hot Sauce". I thought I also heard him call the Depaul PG Bizoukas "The Professor".

Loved the announcers - sure beats, Homer & Mac I'm stuck with for most of the games.  I was pleasantly surprised with WMLV even.

I thought he did ok. And I thought he referred to Marquette as "we" and "us" a couple times as well so maybe thats just his manner of expression. But for being a scrub who was carried to his three NBA rings by MJ, not too bad.

The Bonzi comparison was way off. Redd, on the other hand, was known as a defensive specialist who developed his offensive game while at Ohio State, so I'll at least give him that comparison. I would have never considered McNeal a Michael Redd type player. I do, however, see flashes of DWade in Jerel's game. But I think that Jerel is a much better outside shooter than Wade was.

Other than that I thought Simpkins did OK. Definitely much better than he has been for previous games. I'd take him over Jay Williams anyday!
