What Big East schools think Marquette doesn't belong?

I really don't think it's on a school by school basis.  It's just that some of the alumni from the old-guard Big East teams tend to be persnickety towards us noobies.  It'll go away in a couple of years, and it does make sense that some feel this way because we are the new kids on the block (don't get excited, we're not the band).  Nobody likes losing to the new guy, so we'll just have to keep winning until the old-guard is used to losing to us  :P

I've actually never seen any debate that the "new" BE schools don't belong as far as talent go.  However, I have read a bit of grumbling regarding the travel required after adding the new schools (and ND actually) - thus not really "belonging" in the Big East.  I can agree with that to some extent, but changing the name to the "Big 'East of the Mississippi'" seems a bit much.

Personally, I love all the challenges of our super conference, and the new rivalries.  Gives me good excuses to travel too!

Oh, sounded like something Georgetown fans would say. If you all haven't figured it out yet, you shouldn't pay to much attention to them. I'll be polite and say Hoya fans have a rather warped view of the college basketball landscape and their team's place in it.
