PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Marquette sophomore guard Dominic James and Notre Dame freshman forward Luke Harangody received BIG EAST Conference Men's Basketball weekly honors on Monday. James was named BIG EAST Player of the Week, while Harangody earned Rookie of the Week accolades.

James averaged 19.0 points, 5.0 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 4.0 steals while leading Marquette to a pair of league wins over ranked opponents. In a 73-69 victory at No. 24/22 Connecticut, James had 17 points, four assists and three steals. The win ended UConn's 31-game home winning streak. James, a native of Richmond, Ind., followed that performance with 21 points, six assists and five steals in an 81-63 triumph over No. 21/21 West Virginia.

Harangody averaged 11.5 points and 5.0 rebounds in a 2-0 week for the Irish, while playing only 20.5 minutes per game. The native of Schererville, Ind. had 12 points in his first collegiate start, an 88-76 win over Seton Hall. In a 61-58 victory over No. 21/21 West Virginia, Harangody posted 11 points. He grabbed five rebounds in both contests and shot 50 percent from the floor. This season, he has reached double figures in 13 of 17 games.
