easily. especially because a huge chunk of the #10-25 ranked teams lost this week.

muhoosier260

looks like MU could be 19 in the coaches poll, mb a couple spots lower in the ap

Ehhhh we will obviously move up but I don't know if we will pass the 20 spot.  I hope so but I have my doubts.

Daniel

We have teams like WVU, Illinois State and a few others right in the same spot virtually as us last week - Ohio State #24) lost, but did 23, 22, 21 and 20?  I think we may move to the Top 25 (we should) - but we might just make it.

Nonetheless, it will be good to be ranked again.  So we must win at Rutgers to stay there - GO MARQUETTE!

Again? FYI, we were top 25 in Coaches, and a handful of votes away from 25 in the AP. No question will we be ranked. It's a question of how high.

I think we'll be ranked - we deserve it.  In the AP last week, we garnered 79 votes to the 166 I think for the # 25 team, with WVU ahead of us with 100 votes.  We should be back in the rankings this week, and I hope as high as we can be.

As it is always stated, its nice to be ranked.  But if we are going to be nr/25 all year, I would have no problem with that.  It at least keeps us on the bottom line on espn  ;D

Lets just take care of business against Rutgers (game will NOT be easy) and WVU.  We need to start strong with the way the schedule finishes!!!!

but did 23, 22, 21 and 20?  Yes, actually they did.
AP ranked teams that lost since last poll
1,2,4,7,9,11,14,15,16,18,19,21,23, and 24.

ESPN ranked team that lost.
1,2,4,8,10,11,13,17,18,19,20,21,23,24,

we should be 19/20 or so.

And up to #24 in Pomeroy's ratings:

Also note, his predictions now have us going 11-7 in conference.

mviale

nothing like a rolling and ever changing forecast.  Cant Pomeroy stick to their guns?

pomeroy's predictions are purely stat driven and are updated as more games are played, it makes sense that these two wins would increased MU's expected w/l record based on statistics
