Anyone notice how well dressed Buzz has looked on the sidelines? He seems to always wear sharp looking threads and shoes. He generally has MU colors in the mix as well. Quite a nice upgrade from the former dude on the sidelines who couldn't even get the length of his tie correct or get a decent haircut.

I am going to take a break from shedding light on the myth that was Tommy Naismith.  But I will leave with this.  Can you honestly, name one single thing that Buzz Williams is not an absolute upgrade in in every single respect that is involved with being the head coach at Marquette University over our former coach.  Whther it be threads, honesty, interviews, you name it.  I would not watch the former coaches shows interviews etc, they were so bad...yesterday I got on line and listened to Buzz on the internet after the game.  My wife has had numerous conversations with him and loves him and she hated Crean, she is an Mu grad and a casual fan in the sense that she wants us to win and likes going and watching but she has not ever lost sleep over it. But again the question name a single solitary aspect that Buzz is not better than Crean in??!!
Lastly, How about yesterday late when Nova went zone and we scored 3-4 straight times off of it forcing Wright to call time, BALLGAME, and they never went back to it.  I will leave it at that!

We don't have any "celebrities" (Mike McCarthy, Mike Maddux, Dahmer's lawyer) sitting in baseline seats anymore.

One more thing, Buzz doesn't see the PR benefit of holding a press conference every time he wipes his arse. Crean was much better at that.

The fact that Buzz sports a pocket square to every game proves he's a baller.

Crean has better hair.

Basketball-wise, I can't really see anything right now. He's pushed the right buttons far more often than not.

I like Buzz and all, but a pin striped suit with a striped shirt is a little too busy.  One or the other needs to have stripes...not both.

At least the tie was a solid color though.

Watching Thursday's game, I couldn't help but notice how much he looks like Curly of The Three Stooges.

Love Buzz, but like previous regime, no inbound plays. Not one screen.  Everyone run away from the ball.

The Curley post made me laugh out loud!

Happy with Buzz so far - and I think we did have an inbounds play a few games ago - as I recall - into Jerel for a quick 8 footer.

GO MARQUETTE!

I rewatched the Villanova game on my DVR.  The commentators were saying that Buzz went out and bought new suits for all the assistant coaches for Christmas.  They all looked well dressed.

Jay Wright though is the king when it comes to being well dressed.  I think he was even voted number 1 in GQ or some magazine.

that inbounds play post is a head scrather.  As acoach i love to watch and steal inbounds plays Tommy Naismiths frustrated to me to no end as there was no screens just lazy cuts and usually only one or two cutter.  Buzzes are completely different he runs that wheel play and yesterday ran that double screen play alot both of those have multiple options and alot of screens .  curious post.

Do you guys consider Buzz to be a high major player in the dressing department?

I think that Buzz has some lycra, spandex or rayon added to the wool blend to be able to do that goosestep, whirling Dervish move.

Crean had better hair, and that's saying something because Crean's hair sucked.

Crean had a nicer tan

Crean's family tree of coaching is much more extensive

Crean has a Final Four with MU

As for coaching, ask me in 5 years.

As for the duds, striped shirts with a striped suit is a no-no, but that's a personal choice.  But yes, he and the assistants are looked dapper yesterday without looking like pimps. Unfortunately some of our opponent coaching staffs over the years have gone pimpish.  Let's hope that never happens at MU.

That picture must be before Pearl starting sweating through his suit.  Always a favorite of mine.

Gotta be honest, I always like it when coaches sport a blazer in their school's main color. It's gaudy and unnecessary, but so are kids who paint their faces and go shirtless, and that's exactly what's so great about college sports. I'll be the first to admit that if I were a Tennessee fan, I'd love the orange coat Pearl wears.
