MLB Network
« on: December 30, 2008, 03:55:14 PM »
On right now on TWC Channel 122. Looks like an HD channel will come before the season starts.

I think this has the potential to be outstanding. Their nightly show goes from the first pitch of the night to the last out, with drop-ins, and Matt Vasgersian.

Anyone else excited for this?

Yup....we've been working on this for months.  We're running a loop right now and it goes HD on the 1st.  We are part owners of the channel.  It's going to be very good.  Have a few friends in Secaucus (sp?) working there, they are busy bees getting ready for the launch.

Will this effect the Direct TV MLB package?

Wait, wait, explain....did Trenni switch jobs/leave the Brewers, or is she doing both? does this mean I don't get to see her after every game?!

She left FSN North after the baseball season to accept a more lucrative position with MLB TV.

Looks like another MU alum is rising up the success ladder!

Nope, not at all. All customers with Choice or Total Choice or above will get it on channel 213.

In fact, the MLB package will be better this year because HD will be included, no need to buy SuperFan for MLB any longer.

Thanks for the update Chicos.

Does Fox still have a lockdown on Sat. afternoon games?  Nothing more annoying than being forced to watch the Yankees and the Sawx out east when the Crew is on and it is impossible to watch.

They sure do and for quite awhile if I remember correctly.

For you Cubs fans out there, Dan Pleasac has also left Comcast Chicago to take a position with the MLB Network.
