Preview MU/Dayton: From Dayton. Funny stuff.

We did a back and forth with a Dayton guy for our CS post on the game.

I had to do a double-take when I saw a picture of Buzz Williams, Marquette's head coach. I'm not one to personally attack someone for their looks (although I guess I am about to...), but this guy looks more like your half-witted next-door neighbor who kisses his dogs on the mouth than the head coach of a major college basketball program. No offense to Mr. Williams, I am no Adonis myself. In fact, if I am in a bar with around 200 guys, I am probably only the second or third best looking dude in the room. Who am I kidding? I'm like Scott Baio circa 1984. The ladies can't help themselves. I am probably inside a gorgeous woman right now and don't even realize it. My penis is numb and indifferent at this point. My sperm is considered both a delicacy and a currency in some regions of the country. Anyway, Buzz Williams, he is a goofy looking bastard.

Pretty funny stuff.  We definitely have no shame in tapping Wade at every turn, and Buzz is a goofy looking dude.

My UCLA brethren have gotten away from calling him Gomer Pyle, now they call him banjo boy from Deliverance.



His part on the Warriors was dead on.


However, seems to me MU will defeat Dayton tonight in Illinois, that is where the author has gone wrong.

Wow.  This guy is a moron.  Not sure where to start.  Hopefully UD is "creaming in their jeans" about lighting us up from 3 the night after setting the all-time NCAA record for 3 pt shooting futility going 0-24 against Auburn.

Maybe they'd understand our pride with D-Wade if they had anyone remotely comparable....although I'm not sure Sedric Toney is getting too much playing time these days.

I do have to hand it to him though....for a team that has not won an NCAA tournament game in 18 years this guy has a lot of confidence.

Looking forward to the game tonight....hopefully the atmosphere is better than last night...that place was absolutely dead.

I'm actually surprised that Gregory is not feeling more heat.  He took over an NCAA squad and went to the tourney his first year with Oliver Purnell players only to miss any tourney until last years big NIT bid. 

Over the years, Dayton chirps more for accomplishing less than any other school I remember MU playing.

I like the fact the guy doesn't take himself seriously and he says right at the top this is a biased look at Dayton basketball. I just find it funny that a fan of a school that has had absolutely nothing to cheer about in basketball for 50 years would stoop to these childish rants.
