Do they have another year as the Big East?  I followed this saga closely and I am confused.

Can we sue for brand infringement or at least send them a cease and desist letter?

I'm pretty sure the new conferences don't "go live" until July 1.

The Big East is the Big East until the former Big East members become the Big East and the Big East becomes the American 12.

Andy Katz notes in his 3-Point Blog today that the NCAA has officially recognized the "new" BE and has ratified the name change of the old BE to the AAC.  Result is that both now have auto bids to the NCAAs.  As for timing, I suspect the 7/1 date noted earlier in this thread would be correct.
