It's interesting that they didn't change the colors up. Matthews jersey is light blue, mcneal is white. Could've gone with navy or gold.

Isn't the "MARQUETTE" text supposed to go across the chest and is more block styled?

+1 on the shorts too

You're right.  It should be block lettering, unless we changed it to the other jerseys.

The shorts are only available in XL.

I got a pair of these for Christmas last year in XL.  I'm about 5'10", and I don't even know if they would fit Ooze.  These "shorts" were down to my ankles.

The Wes jersey sold last year was baby blue and didn't have block lettering either.

My favorite would be these jerseys with the lettering from the previous jerseys.

I still think if they were going to go with the Retro jersey, they should have gone with the same lettering that was on the original in 1974.  The block lettering and the arched lettering just don't look right compared to the way it used to be.

The long sleeve shooting shirts are dope.  Definitely need one of those for this season.

WfP,

You don't "need" that long-sleeved jersey, m' boy. You WANT that long-sleeved jersey, i.e Thorstein Veblen's theory of conspicuous consumptio.  Better to pull in those financial horns; tough economic times are with us.

Maybe he's from a warm climate state and needs something to keep him warm during the cool fall days.

Heck, that was me 10 years ago!

Just checked the MU Spirit Shop On-Line:

Wes Baby Blue

Lazar Navy

McNeal White

The Spirit Shop also has the James Jersey and the the baby blue shorts in all sizes.  I wonder if they are going to get the navy shorts to match the jersey?

I talked to one of the managers at the Spirit Shop this morning about the Converse gear.  Said that they will be getting Navy shorts this year, but they are backordered until December.  Also said they were completely taken for surprise by the demand for the Converse gear, so they have ordered far greater quantities this year, plus Eastbay and some of the other catalogs are getting in on the action this year.  According to her, the reason the James is powder blue (and not gold like a lot of people expected) was because Converse wants to keep continuity with the powder blue, so I think we'll also be seeing those worn a lot more as a game jersey this year.

Also, as an FYI, no discounts (not even the 10% for the alumni card) are valid on the Converse gear; employees do not even get a discount on the Converse stuff.

With Wes, Jerel, and Dom graduating this year that will leave only the navy Lazar jersey next year.

It will be interesting to see which player earns a jersey next year with Lazar.  Hopefully they go with gold after introducing the navy this year.

Dayum.

I guess it's off to Eastbay and the 15%/20%/25% discounts and Free shipping offers they throw up!

But that means I'll be stuck with the Spirit Shop for the other jerseys.
