Does anyone know why Wilson has slipped so far?

1 out of those 3 would be good, 2 would be great, 3 would be awesome.  Of course, I don't care if we get kids from other places if they are as higly regarded as these 3 either.

Anyone know anything about #25 (center) Shawn Kemp?  He has MU listed with medium interest.

I don't believe there was too much slippage. Rivals always has ranked Wilson lower than Scout.

Anyone know an easy way to get the MU interest list.

I find it odd that these two sites have Jamil almost 50 spots apart in the rankings.  You would think it wouldn't be that far away...

Rivals does not list those players with Marquette interest....BUT Scout does.  Not that it means anything.  If anything I think we have a core group of players who were are targeting at this point in time.  It'll be interesting how it all pans out.

Is it fair to assume that all these recruits renewed their interest since the coaching change?  Or, could some of these names be hold-overs from the Crean era?

There's only a couple holdovers from Crean...Wilson, Maymon, Lacy, Franklin, Philmore(maybe one more).  The rest are all new names that were not mentioned until Buzz took over.

From HoopScoopOnline.com:

Wednesday, May 7, 2008

It has the potential to be the best event that we've attended all spring.  We're talking about the Arizona Cactus Classic, which will tip-off day after tomorrow and is limited to the 32 really good teams.  And making our job even easier is the fact that all of the games will be held at two venues (the McKale Center and Bear Down Gymnasium) that are within walking distance of one another and the schedule of games is already broken down a number of different ways and is posted on their web site at AzCactusClassic.com.   In other words, the Arizona Cactus Classic is not a disorganized mess like a lot of the events in this day and age nor is it watered down like all of the other events that we've attended this spring.  The list of teams in the field includes Colorado Chaos, Compton Magic, Dallas Mustangs, and New York Gauchos will be in Pool A; the Arizona Magic Elite, Houston Hoops, I-5 Elite, and Pump N' Run Elite will be in Pool B; the Boo Williams Summer League Team, California Supreme, L.A. Dream Team, and Utah Pump N' Run will be in Pool C; Belmont Shore, D-One Sports, FBC Perris, and Northwest Panthers will be in Pool D; the Franchize AllStars, Inland, Pump N' Run Power, and Seattle Rotary Select will be in Pool E; the Bay Area Hoosiers, I-Can All-Stars, Las Vegas Prospects, and Wisconsin Playground Elite will be in Pool F; NorCal Pharaohs, REACH Legends, Team Jones, and Texas Ambassadors will be in Pool G; and 2D1 Basketball, Mac Irvin Fire, Portland Legends, and Team Odom will be in Pool H.  And the list of players who are expected to be in attendance is also very impressive, as it includes 6'9 Jr Renardo Sidney from Los Angeles (Fairfax) CA, 6'3 Jr John Wall from Raleigh (Word of God) NC, 6'7 Jr Jordan Hamilton from Compton (Dominguez) CA, 6'7 Jr Jamil Wilson from Racine (Horlick) WI, 6'7 Jr Reeves Nelson from Modesto (Christian) CA, 5'11 Jr Johnny Lacy from Milwaukee (Bay View) WI, 6'0 Jr Peyton Silva from Seattle (Franklin) WA, 6'4 Jr Michael Snaer from Moreno Valley (Rancho Verde) CA, 6'9 Jr DeShawn Painter from Chatham (Hargrave Military) VA, 6'10 Jr Daniel Orton from Oklahoma City (Bishop McGuiness) OK, 6'9 Jr Keith "Tiny" Gallon from Mouth of Wilson (Oak Hill) VA, 5'8 Jr Tommy Mason-Griffin from Houston (Madison) TX, 6'6 Jr Hollis Thompson from Los Angeles (Loyola) CA, 6'2 Jr Anthony Marshall from Las Vegas (Mohave) NV, 6'9 Jr Travis Wear from Santa Ana (Mater Dei) CA, 6'9 Jr David Wear from Santa Ana (Mater Dei) CA, 6'8 Jr Joe Burton from Hemet (West Valley) CA, 6'9 Jr Ryan Kelly from Raleigh (Ravenscroft) NC, 6'8 Jr Andy Brown from Santa Ana (Mater Dei) CA, 6'5 Jr Dion Sims from Detroit (University of Detroit Jesuit) TX, 6'3 Kyle Fogg from Brea (Brea-Olinda) CA, 6'3 Jr Abdul Gaddy from Tacoma (Bellarmine) WA, 6'10 Jr John Henson from Round Rock (H.S.) TX, 6'8 Jr Victor Rudd from Sylmar (H.S.) CA, 6'3 Jr Elijah Johnson from Las Vegas (Cheyenne) NV, 6'5 Jr Nolan Dennis from North Richland Hills (H.S.) TX, 6'4 Jr Roberto Nelson from Santa Barbara (H.S.) CA, 6'8 Jr Augustine Rubit from Houston (Smiley) TX, 5'11 Jr Austin Morgan from Reno (H.S.) NV, 6'4 Jr Durand Scott from New York (Rice) NY, 6'3 Jr Justin Hawkins from Woodland Hills (Taft) CA, 6'2 Jr Xavier Thames from Sacramento (Pleasant Valley) CA, 6'9 Jr Danny Jennings from Mouth of Wilson (Oak Hill) VA, 6'1 Jr Darius Morris from Los Angeles (Windward) CA, 6'2 Jr Avery Bradley from Tacoma (Bellarmine) WA, 6'9 Jr Cory Jefferson from Killeen (H.S.) TX, 6'6 Jr Garlon Green from Missouri City (Hightower) TX, 6'7 Jr Marshawn Powell from Charlottesville (The Miller School) VA, 6'3 Jr Jared Cunningham from San Leandro (H.S.) CA, 6'8 Jr Greg Smith from Fresno (Edison) CA, 6'10 Jr Vander Joaquim from San Diego (Christian) CA, 6'5 Jr Anthony Brown from Spokane (Shadle Park) WA, 6'3 Raveon Samuels from Las Vegas (Canyon) NV, 6'8 Jr Derrick Nix from Detroit (Murray-Wright) MI, 6'7 Jr Tevin Baskin from Stamford (Trinity Catholic) CT, 6'3 Jamal Crook from Las Vegas (Durango) NV, 6'0 Jr Derrick Needham from Chicago (De La Salle) IL, 6'1 Jr Terry Johnson from Chicago (St. Rita) IL, 6'6 Jr Jonathan Mills from Chicago (North Lawndale) IL, 6'5 Jr Tony Nixon from Chicago (Seton) IL, 6'8 Jr Tyler Honeycutt from Sylmar (H.S.) CA, 6'8 Kevin Young from Perris (H.S.) CA, who did not live up to expectations the last time we saw them to redeem themselves.

No one over 6'9?  I'm so sick of buzz's inability to recruit quality big men.  We can't win in the big east without them.

Bleed, need to chill.  The greenish color means sarcastic.  BTW, its apparent you enjoy the recruiting aspect, keep it up.  Check out the 2009 recruit who de-commited from WVA today.  A 6 10 PF who MU is now interested in.  His name is Dewitt and is from North Carolina. Interesting though, he is 21 years old, thats right 21, with past issues.
