Title: Students camped out- 4 AM Update
Post by: MUfan12 on December 09, 2006, 04:00:11 AM
There is a group of around 20 who are braving the elements outside of Gate B of the Bradley Center. In the middle of our sign preparation, my roommate and I have been running people back to campus for more supplies, giving rides to the BC, and stopped and bought hot chocolate for them.

Our group will be leaving in a half-hour or so. Section 106 will be full of true warriors tomorrow who had to endure the bitter cold and wind.

WE ARE MARQUETTE.
LET'S GO WARRIORS!

Thanks guys!!  I'm very impressed with the dedication of many of the students attending the games.  It's easy to take the team for granted but they are truely devoted fans and that that is awesome.  Look forward to seeing a wild and loud crowd today!

Just got off the phone with MUFan12.  As of now, all gates at the BC are just PACKED with students.  Line from gate B is wrapped around the block to gate C at this point (the one door students can't use I believe).  ESPN has been out and about with cameras shooting the line since early morning.  Crean also rolled up about 45 minutes ago and addressed the troops near the gate on 4th and State.  Needless to say, EVERYONE is jacked thru the roof.  Don't they have finals this week?   ::)

One of my fellow alums and I are about to roll thru with some hot chocolate and donuts for our friends in line. And then we're heading to Kegs and Eggs at another friend's place on the East Side.  Ah, the joys of being an alum on bitter cold mornings  ;)

Man, I wish I could be there, but at my age hypotermia would kill me. Hope the students are loud and pumped up. I want this more than any Big East victory.
