Title: UCONN in the Title Game/Psychology for the 'Quette
Post by: DavidBoone2inchesTaller on April 03, 2023, 09:35:22 PM
The fact that UCONN is in the title game will give the 'Quette a nice psychological boost going into next season. If UCONN wins this game, the psychological boost will be even greater.

MU won the BIG EAST and beat UCONN this season. Getting this team to believe they belong in the Final Four is/was a big hurdle. That was clear watching the MSU game, Tyler's injury not withstanding. So if UCONN pulls this out, it is going to create a tremendous amount of confidence going into next season. Shaka's hurdle to get this team to believe just got much lower.

Since the 2014 season when the "new" Big East began, if UCONN wins tonight it will mark the 3rd title for the conference in the last 8 tournaments and *4th title for a current Big East Team. So much for a requim ESPN?!? (What a bunch of idiots at ESPN.)

*UCONN winning tonight will also mark the 4th title by a current Big East team (UCONN was not back in the Big East in 2014 when they won it all).

Total NCAA Championships by conference since new Big East began in 2013-14 season

Big East 3 (4)*
ACC 3
Big 12 2

Marquette is in the greatest basketball conference in the country! And... they won it!

Mic drop.

Yes, but did half our team declare for the draft, enter the portal, take big NIL money from Memphis, have a 6th man seek starter minutes, or have a homesick Kiwi go pro in Australia today as predicted by this board?
