Really enjoying how much better Oso has gotten ... and is still getting.

What do you think his ncaab ceiling is?
His next level ceiling?
I honestly have no idea

6-9 guys in the NBA who are built like Oso simply have to be able to hit 3s. He has shown zero ability in that regard, and even his FT form has regressed (probably the only disappointment at all about this season for him). So, sitting here today with what we know, it's hard to imagine he could have a career at that level.
He's already a real good college basketball player and he's getting better. Very intelligent, doesn't rush, contributes significantly on both ends. I'm looking forward to seeing how Shaka uses him against Sanogo and how well Oso plays in games against the bigs like that.

Fair response but non-committal.
I’ll go with ncaab BE POY as his ceiling for college ball.
Very difficult, don’t see it as likely but we are talking ceiling here.
This would have to be a Jack of all trades as a senior play with something like 15ppg, 7/8rpg, 3/4apg.
Not outlandish for his trajectory, especially if Shaka doesn’t bring in an immediate big behind him.
For the pros I honestly have no clue.
Europe makes sense, but he’s not a europe guy because they all shoot.
NBA bench guy would be logical, but with what skill for what purpose?
Bulking up a bit more and hitting a midrange J, forget the 3 imo, would be the path to any slight nba next level hopes.
Patrick williams went 4 to the bulls. Completely different scenario but skills matter.

Leading scorer

Oso, though this was a total team effort.

He's got All American potential for next year. He likely won't get there because the volume of numbers aren't huge due to the balanced team, but his talent for CBB is All America unique.
NBA will be tough for him without a jumpshot but I wouldn't rule out some development there over the Summer.

Kevon Looney is probably the only Oso style player in the NBA. 6-9 C with zero 3 point shots attempted this year.

Gotta be Oso,

That is actually a really good comp for Oso that never occurred to me. Still, his chances of playing in the league are next to zero with his complete lack of shooting ability.
It is so odd; he’s obviously coordinated given his dribbling and passing m. But he has absolutely no touch on his shot outside of 10 feet.

Oso, Omax as a HM.

When evanmiya updates, he'll probably be higher on that. Torvik is a little too offensive centric.

the nice thing about sophomores is that they become junior sotg's
oso and he ain't goin no where

Very good comparison. For some reason, I thought Looney was taller. Looney is extremely active and a good rebounder; Oso is better with the ball. Interesting, though. Thanks for bringing that up.

It's Oso but Omax was close

Oso does not have an NBA future without a jumper. 40% from the foul line hurts, too. I think he finds the jumper next summer and is a beast as a senior. With a 3 pt shot, he, like Omax, is exactly the type of player the NBA looks for.
SOTG and a lot of fun to watch right now. It is really fortunate he stuck around to play with Shaka.

Looney is a pretty good comparison, but he did shoot 42% from 3 on 1.5 attempts per game in his one season at UCLA. And he didn’t show it at UCLA, but he handled the ball a lot at the high school level. He’s very skilled.
