Tyler Kolek. His passing is amazing, and had they made open shots he might've had 20 assists. Honorable mention to the 23 for 23.

All this said, don't we need an SOTG for Radford first?

Certainly not the MODS. We don't even have our Radford SOTG yet.

The Jopwagon

He pushed us to the big lead and we never looked back. Shout outs to Kolek for being the straw stirring the drink and Gold for immediately rising to the challenge when Oso picked up his 3rd

Joplin

(My heart wants to say Kolek because he plays the game like he's got an overhead view of the court)

But I'll say Joplin because if he's playing like that, Marquette has a chance to win just about any game.

Joplin had 23 points in 20 minutes. He was in control and he brought lots of energy. 8/12 from the floor, including 6/10 from 3 -- very impressive and efficient. 4 rebs, too. Fairly easy stud choice IMHO.

Kolek obviously had a good game, too. 11 assists and, as others have said, he'd have had many more if wide-open shots he created had been made. He also swished a couple catch-and-shoot 3s and had 5 boards. On the down side, he had 5 turnovers, but the pace was fast and he had the ball a lot. A solid second choice.

I’m surprised Omax isn’t getting any love here. I’m not that big of an Omax fan and I thought he was really good last night.

That said I am a big Jop fan and he does deserve it.

Joplin shot 60% from three for the game on 10 attempts he should win it.

Oso could win it every game if he wanted too

And of course Breeding felt it was imperative to restore order and call a bench technical.

Good call. O-Max had a strong game. The young man has a great motor and energy.

I thought he was a solid contender for SOTG.

Led the team in minutes, rebounds, steals, spearheaded the press and was the 2nd leading scorer.

Yet, until you, I don't even think he was mentioned.

If Brew can post a song on mid-range jumpers in short order what is taking so long to pick a STOG?

Joplin didn't exactly stuff the stat sheet, but he did have an impressive scoring evening.  Also his first ever SOTG.

However, we need to get the MU photographer to get some good action shots of him.  Didn't see a single one of him with the ball from the past 2 games.

Uh.  No.

I checked Marquette's game photo galleries from the first two games, which had over 200 pics from both games.  None with Joplin holding or shooting a basketball.

Jop doesn't hold the ball long enough before launching.  MU needs to upgrade to higher speed film.
