Title: Avalanche Ski Club
Post by: Dr. Blackheart on October 14, 2022, 09:26:04 AM
I came across the Avalanche Ski Club in the University Archives when searching for The First Warrior.  Any of you old timers remember this Club or were members?  Marquette sold it in 1970 in what may have been the fourth historical MU travesty behind selling the Medical School, shutting down football and the nickname fiascos.

The Ausblick is still a private ski resort in Sussex. Any Scoopers members?

A "private ski resort" with a 200ft vertical drop is kind of hilarious

Wilmot Mountain is 190 and Alpine Valley is 300. We used to get liquored up and sled down Tory Hill on Saga Trays.

I vaguely remember being a member of the Avalanche slip and slide club.  Usually met weekend evenings around 11:00pm. And there was a strict (un)dress code
