I enjoyed his commentary on the Big East and the double round robin being an asset for the league. Also liked to hear about his pre game workout routine.

I enjoyed how Shaka went into detail about being back at a basketball first school.  Where fans and alums look forward to attending games, travel with the team, and is a social and special event.

That said, because of COVID and the Wojo hangovers, last season will be a low water mark for hoops hype. I hope we get back to BC mania.

Thanks for posting this video, tower.

Shaka’s sure impressive. I love listening to him talk about his philosophy, mentoring, enthusiasm, etc.

Came away with the same impressions.  There is an authenticity to Shaka that I'd say Crean and Buzz lacked to some degree.  Shaka has a sense of nuance/sophistication that Wojo lacked.

I thought of Emarion Ellis as Shaka talked about how Troy Daniels sat his first year or two and played less minutes than a walk-on, yet that EVERY day after practice one of the coaches would do an individual 1-on-1 workout with him.

Not losing any players this off-season is a testament to Shaka fully investing in his players on all levels.  That being said, there will be transfers but it is evident how his approach is one that cultivates strong relationships.

We agree ... as usual!  8-)
