Anyone know where I can download a file containing that picture of the 1977 team posing with the Packard? Any help would be much appreciated.

This is great! Thank you so much!

Such a classic team pic. Al always found ways to stand out from the crowd.

In order to stand out from other college basketball teams' photos, Marquette teams during the 1970s used different types of themes when they posed every year.
This was the players' idea, and Al went along with it because it was different, a little bit avant grade.
MU's famous shot with the Packard portrayed not only the team concept, but the individuality of the players, who were dressed differently.
Nonconformist shot approved by a nonconformist coach.

I think the car is an Excalibur--made in West Allis.

I vote Packard. If you look at the pic of the front end posted by oldwarrior 81 it sure looks like a Packard Roadster.

I stand corrected. The SI article linked above (https://www.si.com/college/2017/12/28/marquette-basketball-team-1977-photo-convertible-al-mcguire
) reports that it was it a 1934 Packard.
