The police shooting incident was terrible and hopefully the officers will have as complete of a recovery as possible, and, full justice will be served for the shooter, and those involved. Yet another gun related violence incident.
This here is a complaint filed by an LASD Deputy about a racist gang within the LASD Department, Compton Unit. This is also bad.
"The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Compton patrol station "has been permeated" by a violent deputy gang called the "Executioners," according to a new legal claim." A five year member of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Patrol filed the complaint about the Department.

The treatment of reporter Josie Huang below, by LASD, was bad. The lies and nasty tone of Chief Villanueva and the department, after the fact was bad. Villanueva's other comments are also not helping the situation

Before casting judgement, shouldn't we first dig through the victims' backgrounds and find some way to assassinate their character to justify this, even if totally unrelated?
Violent crime is bad. Perpetrators of violent crime should be arrested, prosecuted and, if convicted, punished.
See, it isn't that hard.

And you won't find a single person who disagrees with you in general or specific to this case, unless these perpetrators have a union.
Horrible incident, condemned by all, with everyone wanting the exact same thing in the end - due process delivering the appropriate actions within the confines of the law.
-
Yep. Catch them. Punish them to the maximum allowed by law.

only difference was that the perpetrator wasn't called to the scene...

Terrible, I hope both recover and that they catch the person responsible.

kind of related, Lancaster, PA. Riots and destruction after police shot a guy running at them with a knife (established by bodycam footage). The suspect died. Anyone on the east coast know more than what the media is reporting?
It is a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation for the police now?

Not really. This is the Compton thread about Compton. Every situation is different. The Police Shooting, the LASD internal gang, the incident with the reporter and police are what is going on right now in Compton.

Right now it is, everyone's going to jump to conclusions about another black person shot by police. Plenary of legit ones without rioting over the warranted ones

Gotta wonder why a lot of cops don’t wanna wear body cams. They protect good cops more than they protect victims.
