Probably. Pretty sure everyone here thought the same thing and plenty of people remarked on it when it happened. Not surprising and on brand.

Here is the what came before that paragraph (from The Athletic) that was re-printed on Barstool.

“I didn’t really have prior knowledge of the Marquette scoring record or anything like that. It wasn’t until after the game that they told me I had broken it."

Everyone realizes more eyeballs on Markus is better for MU, right?

And barstool - like them or not - has far more eyeballs than the athletic
