Title: '19-'20 SOTG
Post by: LoudMouth on December 09, 2019, 11:50:46 AM
We are 9 games into the season with 7 wins (7 SOTG) and already have 5 different SOTG's. We had 4 different SOTG's in '17-'18 & 5 different SOTG's in '18-'19.

I think this speaks to our teams ability to step up. Obviously Markus will lead the way here but seeing so many names up on that list so early on is a good sign. Would like for the big men and Greg to get up there soon too but I think all in all we have a relatively balanced team that we should have more confidence in if/when Markus doesn't drop 25+.

I think we have one of these threads every year.  It's usually followed by a "why don't we have anyone besides Markus who can make a play?" thread the first week of January.

The glue guys are able to rotate SOTG honors against easier competition.  I'll be happy if they maintain the ability to be glue guys come conference season.  I'll be ecstatic if they're regularly winning SOTG.

I can see guys like John and Elliott getting one by the end of the year though.

This. John was awful close to a triple double in the first game. He gets that and I think he gets the SOTG not Howard

Maybe ... but Markus did have, like, 842 points in 20 minutes.
