I dropped it after last year, thought it was weak fro MU. There are enough promos out there to pick it up briefly to see if you like it.

If you are a sports fan, it is great. If you're only looking for MU coverage, go elsewhere.

Got it. I was going to subscribe earlier this year and it was limited — then $8/mth thereafter. So it wasn’t worth it to me.

Every penny. I'm passed the age of not enjoying what I want. It's well worth the money to me. NBA, mlb and NFL coverage can't be beat. College hoops just ok.

1 year subscription is $39.99 is the current gift rate. Otherwise closer to $60 to $70 a year. I just didn’t find it worth it year round.

I can't wrap my head around this statement. There is a lot of good content. Far better than any non-subscription content that I typically read. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places. If the goal is to become more educated then I want to read the best material. If that costs a small amount of money, then that's certainly worth it for me.
I'd say it's more than worth whatever the cost is.

This is the second year I subscribed during the holidays. If you missed cyber monday, there will probably be more options for a cheap subscription before the year ends. For 60% off list, I think it's worth it. MU coverage is generally bleh, but college BB as a whole is covered well and MU comes up fairly often in the national level coverage. Plus you have all the other sports to follow. The articles are generally all feature length and high quality.

I've been a subscriber for a little over a year. Absolutely not worth it for Marquette coverage (scrolling through the recent MU linked articles its tough to find one that primarily focuses on Marquette over the last several months), though that may change. I do like their national coverage and read most of their Bucks coverage. I initially jumped over for their Ohio State team; I'd read their writers in the past and really liked them, and for that alone I think its worthwhile; much more in depth/involved/interesting stories than most of what you'll find elsewhere IMO. If Marquette was able to garner enough readership to have some more dedicated reporting, would be worth it I think for a lot of users on this site, just don't think that day will ever come.

FWIW, on The Athletic Joe Posnanski is counting down the 100 days until opening day with a daily story on the top 100 baseball players of all time (using his made up criteria). You may quibble with his choices, but the stories themselves are really great.
