Title: who else will score?
Post by: injuryBug on November 17, 2019, 01:37:14 PM
ok to ask that question again?  Sacar has been short on every shot this season need him to step up.
Need better flow on offense and need to knock down open looks when we get them

Sacar should be told he is not allowed to shoot from outside of 8 feet

We are going to miss the Hausers a lot this year.

Koby is the clear number 2 at this point.  I could not be more disappointed with Anim so far.  Remember all the talk of him being the most improved etc etc.  Sorry for a 5th year senior starter he has been HORRIBLE so far.

Bailey has a long way to go.

This team has 2 scorers that will be anything we can rely upon game in game out.  Everything else is a wash.  There remains to be seen a third scoring option on this team.

The hausers leaving will be the initial start of the events that get wojo canned.  That move destroyed the potential of this team this year.    If course its early but this team has no chance of winning a tough game unless markus is video game mode

This feels like one of those Diener-Novak teams.  2 threats not much else.   Guys need to step it up.

From what I'm seeing, it's hard to find a 3rd scorer when so few others get a chance.  This looked like our team from the end of last year.  Very little ball movement.  Not trusting teammates to do the right thing.  All those TOs were because guys kept trying to do too much when going 1:1.

Also, total lack of effort for defensive rebounding the entire game (that last one summed up the whole game...zero reason we don't get that ball except complete lack of effort).  Love Markus when he's on, but 2nd half was just a lot of bad hero ball.  Elliott and Cain looked good.  Get them the ball more.  Why are our bigs only taking 3 total shots all game?  Can we not ever run a play for them or ever get them the ball?  Not much positive to take from this game except for me, maybe Elliott and Cain can step up and be options 3 and 4.

Well if John, Anim, Bailey Morrow cannot play better then they have so far this year then yes it will be a long season.

Yes exactly right,  THREE SHOTS for the bigs?????

Unfortunately the guys that could have scored for this team are taking a year off to play at elite programs.

Running offense through our bigs will result in travel calls, turnovers and offensive fouls. They are there to rebound, play defense and set screens.

Bailey needs to take shooting lessons. He has done nothing. He deserves to sit. 11th man.

Bailey big disappointment.  Anim HUGE disappointment.  Same for John and Morrow.  When those guys are all returning vet type players that is a problem.

Bailey has had a rough start, but he has the look of a guy for whom it will just click one day. I still have faith, though it would be nice to be able to cycle him as part of the rotation with Cain a little more until the game slows down for him.

A lot of complaining in the game thread comparing him to Sandy Cohen which I think is unfair.  If you're looking for an uncharitable comparison, I think it would be Juan Anderson - had the height, but never really filled out and could never quite put it all together. Again, I think its way too early to chicken little on BB, but the risk is that he keeps looking great on paper but just never has those three big games in a row where he takes off and never looks back.
