Greg Gard is at a bar somewhere crying into his brandy old-fashioned....

Awesome. Don't care how they got here or where they wanted to be. Just glad they're here. Not worried about a team we beat who has lost 4 out of 6 games anymore. The MU program is on its way to where it needs to be, and the Hausers are a big part of that.
-
And MU's Natisha Hiedeman was also BE POW (and has to be the front runner for BE POY at this point too):
https://gomarquette.com/news/2019/1/21/womens-basketball-hiedeman-named-big-east-player-of-the-week.aspx?path=wbball
From the release:
Against the Pirates, Hiedeman notched a BIG EAST weekly best of 28 points and increased her season average to 18.6 points per game overall and a stellar 24.0 in league play, more than five points higher than the next closest scorer.

Someone tweet this at Seth Davis who called us the Marquette Howards

Too bad Sandy Cohen's not still here. We could have the first brother-sister POWs in the BE too. If Sandy was better, that is.

Thank you, Bo Ryan.

And if Sandy wouldn't have already graduated if he had stayed......

And if Sandy was magically talented enough to win this award......

Or been too busy getting hot with someone else.

In Chicago this afternoon, my family had a big lunch with the family who used to live across the street from us when we all lived on the North Side. The youngest son went to UW-Stevens Point and has worked at the school since he graduated about 6 years ago. He was a basketball player in high school and followed SPASH when the Hausers were there.
"The Hausers are freakin' amazing, really special players. Great family. Believe it or not, quite a few people in the know in the Stevens Point basketball circuit thought Joey might not follow Sam to Marquette, that he'd want his own thing. But in the end, he loved the idea of playing with his brother, and really liked your coaching staff."
Also, his mother's nephew (in other words, his cousin) is Nate Watson, the kid who just had his career day for Providence against us. Small world!

Sandy is doing very well this season and is one of the best players in the horizon league. Certainly not the same level of competition, but he's pretty talented.

Chartouny was pretty talented with Fordham in the A10. As we know...that does not translate to talented in the BEast.
I agree that Sandy has talent but not nearly enough to win Big East player of any length of time. His sister on the other hand, does have the talent required

Wait, what? Your neighbor's mom or Joey's mom?
