Title: The GTown game, Markus' back and Sam's season
Post by: jesmu84 on January 20, 2019, 01:17:33 PM
We all saw what Sam did against Gtown. The result, of course, was due to Markus' injury. But I have to believe that Sam gained a TON of primary ball handling and primary scorer confidence as a result of the success Sam had.

I think that success and confidence-gained is going to be HUGE for our team's success down the line. He looked so much more aggressive in the 2nd half against providence.

A dominant (at times) 2nd scorer will only help Markus and the rest of the team.

Agreed, I felt like he never really got full confidence back since off season surgery, until Gtown. I think we are back to a 3-headed monster type team (Hauser, Hauser and Howard). Triple-H.

To me, the lesson of the Georgetown is not beating a lesser conference team on the road.    The lesson of that game is the rest of the team remembering/realizing that they were pretty good players, too, and could compete and win without Markus.    Sam more than most.
