I don’t like the structure. I liked them better when we had some choice, and only had to deal with one preseason game. We might well just do single game tickets.

If the Warriors put together a couple of top ten seasons, you might not even be able to buy mini plans.

It’s not whining to say we liked the plans where we could tailor things for ourselves better. Four of us have been doing the mini-plan for years, and I can tell that neither will work for us, for various and sundry reasons that none of you will find sufficient, so yes I am disappointed.

Right on. Im certainly not whining. I’ve got my two season tickets all set.

Season tickets can be had for $125. People should snag those.  Or worth the mini plan.

I'm shock the Gold Plan wouldn't work, since 4 of 5 are on a Saturday. Anyways, single game tickets will go on sale Tuesday, October 16th.

What I'm thinking is that they want 4,000 students in the Al on Friday for the concert/madness. Get them hooked and get them to buy season tickets. I do know about month ago, at that timeframe the student sales pace was above from last years pace. So, paying the fee's and taxes has turned out not to be an issue.

2 seats for the gold mini-plan in section 119.  Painless and all in at $57.50 a seat per game.

I'd say a very fair price point and a good deal.

UMBC opener, Kansas State, Seton Hall, Villanova and Georgetown.  Great games and mostly Saturdays which works when coming from out of town.  Very pleased with a very smooth selection process.

This makes downgrading so appealing.  I already have a STHOTG, I need a MPHOTG to put next to it!

But truthfully, where I used to go to all ~20 games a year, I've been averaging about 4/year in the Wojo era.  A 5-game mini plan that's in the lower bowl is perfect for us.

#MUBB Season Ticket Member Single Game Ticket Information

As a benefit of being a Marquette men's basketball season ticket member and donor, you will have access to purchase additional individual game tickets prior to the general public.  The date, time and number of marquee game tickets (Villanova and Wisconsin games) available to purchase, will be determined by your annual giving level.  For example, if you are at the $1,500 donor level you'd have access to purchasing four (4) additional single game tickets to the Villanova and/or Wisconsin games. All other regular season home games you may purchase up to an additional eight (8) tickets.   In order to be eligible to purchase additional single game tickets your account needs to be paid in full or up to date on the payment plan.  For more information on the annual benefits program, please see the benefits chart.

Another benefit of the “We Are Marquette” club is your opportunity to receive one (1) complimentary ticket for each season ticket purchased to a non-conference game (excludes Kansas State and Wisconsin) during the 2018-19 season. You will be able to start redeeming your complimentary ticket(s) starting Thursday, Oct. 25.

For a breakdown on purchasing single game tickets, starting Thursday, Oct. 11, by giving level please see the chart below.

Season ticket members at this
giving level and above:   Can begin purchasing tickets at:
$25,000+   10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11
$4,000+   12 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11
$1,500+   3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11
$500+   10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12
All Season Ticket Members   1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12

Basically, it's a 50% off coupon.

Was just talking about this with another 10+ year STH last night. If this is the route they plan to go, it could backfire on them. Especially if the team doesn't hit expectations this season.

With the change in the tax laws and how the reseating process has gone down, it is clear, but not stated, that MU values only your recent donations.  What you have donated in the past few months is the only thing that matters versus the six figure donations you have continuously given over the past 20+ years.  Forget the guy who is going to buy a B&G table in December or who is waiting to make a donation the end of the year because of tax or matching gift needs every year.  All that matters now is the last few months. Your Priority Points get you a free flag, though.

We all knew there were going to be changes but to sublimely slip this in is crappy to a lot of long time STH, IMO.  More so, these lower bowl pack prices also are out of line with what a STH pays in the seat next door.  And it's worse now as their points are devalued.

Wojo better win.  There will be a lot of pressure on him. Winning cures everything, though.

The rigid mini plans are annoying.  You should just be able to pick 5 games, get them in advance of single game tickets and at a discount and create your own package.  Or at least have some flexibility.

MU did that years ago were you got to pick all the games. People hated it and they didn't sell. Also, you can buy mini plans ahead of single game tickets. FYI, the mini plans are a discount compared to single game tickets. It's about anywhere from $45 to $25 in savings.

One would think so, but honestly the gold plan doesn't have a crap game, if only bc UMBC is the first game in FF, likely will be a big crowd and has a bit of cache from the NCAA win.  And then K State and three conf games (Nova GTown and SH).

Yes, I know that you can buy them before the single games tickets and at a discount.  I'm saying keep that part but assign a price to each game IF you buy at least 5 games, or even the "pick X games from each of these groups" format as they've done previously.  I've done these types of packages with multiple teams and always liked being able to pick the games I actually want.  I'm not seeing why people would hate having the option.  Finally, I'm actually looking at some of the "crap" games (which are not in either package btw) because I want to bring my kids at a reasonable price knowing that we probably won't stay the whole time and I likely won't have to explain the F word to them.
Title: Re: Marquette Mini Plans

Marquette did that I believe it was 4 years ago or so. You picked your game. You picked your section. Those mini plans were an nightmare in sales. Fans hated them. They like to pick Plan A or Plan B.

Now, I do like what they have done the past two years. You had your marquee game from each plan to pick from. Then, the final two games you picked out of two choices.

Just not the case in 2018-19. That said, I don't think it has to be this year. Both mini plans will have major demands. Badger game mini plans are always huge sellers. With the other plans as Villanova, also falling on National Marquette Day will have big demand as well.

That's great too. Beat the rush!

I say that because every year when the National Marquette Game has been sold out for weeks, the ticket office gets flooded with calls for people wanting tickets. Saying stuff like, I'm a alumni or I donate. That's great, but the game is still sold out. I'm just using that game as an example.

I like the mobile pass at 99$x4.
But I know it’s not for everyone. I want to be able to go to any game but often can’t. And the go-with crowd changes. My wife goes sometimes, my Marquette son sometimes, my anti-Marquette son sometimes. A friend sometimes. And a few times just me. In the cheap seats it’s nice to have an empty seat next to you to spread out a bit. The guilt of wasting a ticket minimized by the low cost. I hope to use maybe half the 80 seats I have for this year so $10/seat.  Also Last year there were a couple of lower bowl games but at fiserv doubt it. As someone stated, no season ticket perks though you do get all 20 games. Didn’t realize there was the 100 limit. Guess that makes sense. It’s got pluses and minuses. Not for everyone. Mini plan looks good to me too.

I agree the Ticketmaster 3D program is garbage.  My season ticket order was lost after clicking submit. And, with my single seat purchase - it did not activate at the beginning of my time slot without me logging off and logging in 10 minutes later.  Twice it dropped tickets in my shopping cart while I was selecting others for a different game, and finally the zoom and hovering over a dot to select a seat is horrible.  Garbage system.
