Hit the weights hard your senior year of HS so you come in strong. Sam looks physically overmatched at this point of the season, even after the week off. 10-15 pounds of upper body strength should do wonders for him next year.

Think Sam's been holding his own admirably. I have absolutely no issue with Sam.
-
The only issue I saw with Sam tonight was not hitting his 3's, but he wasn't exactly the only one who had that problem

Exactly.

Agreed. But the decisions are almost always the right ones. I had more of a problem with some of Rowsey's shots mid way through the first half than any Sam took. Sam's just didn't fall. Everyone has those nights.

He did bury a 3, but unfortunately, they called Fischer for a weak moving screen so it didn't count.

Yeah Rowsey was really getting shot happy for a while there. Some very questionable shots. Sam does a great job playing out of position.
-
Sam pulled 6 rebounds down against the best rebounding team in the Big East. Physicality was not the problem. He just couldn't get his shots to fall tonight. 4 of them were good looks. One was a bad shot.

Sam added 15 lbs of muscle after high school. We've gotten to the point that we are complaining about Sam's strength as a freshman. Sad.
-
Joey's always (well, maybe not when they were toddlers) been bigger.. FWIW
Neck especially!

Sam has come a long way from 6-5 and 190 two years ago.
Sam was viewed as strictly a perimeter player and I thought Joey would be the better collegiate prospect because of his size.

I am not complaining. I'm saying that I believe he is wearing down a little. Twelve points in four games on 5-of-19 shooting may be a sign he is getting beat up a little. He is going to be a very good player before he is done.

He is playing out of position wrestling grown men. And he is a freshman. If he hits one, he will hit 6 out of 10.

Sam adding that weight has allowed him to not be overwhelmed. He needs to continue adding strength, but what freshman doesn't? I agree Joey should learn from Sam, but only in that he should do the same thing Sam did.
-
Sam is good. As a freshman he plays errorless ball, very good rebounding, good defense and has a great shooting touch. Would like to see him slash more and shoot more.
-
The only thing Joey has to learn from Sam is to sign that LOI for Marquette.

Good news that he has a good neck.
