He's too good of a player. Smart, and no longer a Frosh.

I agree with this analysis.
-
He could really become that pogo stick Wojo's been looking for.
-
Ya... If we can find him.
But on a serious note, I hope he gets decent minutes this year.

For him to get decent minutes means he will have improved significantly from last year. That would be a nice bonus for the team.
-
Should be as a soph. HOPE YOU'RE RIGHT! I got as lot of flack, but he could be our ace-in-the-hole.
-
We'll need him to fill that critical Wally Ellenson role of undersized 4 that brings energy. Definitely believe he has the athleticism, we'll start to see this year if he has the savvy.

I'd prefer if he filled the critical Wally role of having a younger brother who became a freshman AA and first round NBA pick and wanted to play with his older brother.
BTW, what ever happened to Wally? He hasn't announced a transfer yet right?

Would he be able to transfer and still have eligibility after sitting out with his transfer from MN?

Grad transfer

Not to rip open a healed wound, but Wally would be useful on this team. Damn shame Wojo struck out on a grad transfer (again).

No he wouldn't.. ..sorry you struck out with your post..... again.
-
As long as Wojo doesn't mess him up.

I said "useful". A guy who can come in and play 5-10 high energy minutes at a spot that the team is dangerously thin at, is very useful.
I was all for cutting him lose and finding an upgrade. That unfortunately didn't happen. Empty scholarships are dumb and we've done it far too often lately.

What spot do you think Wally plays that's "dangerously thin?"

Mind games, hey?
-

Yeah, he doesn't. He "could" maybe play 10 minutes per game at the 4. But I'd much rather those minutes go to JJ, Reinhardt, Hauser, and Anim anyways.

Watching those high jumpers at the Olympics, the best ones do look dangerously thin. Probably helps them contort their bodies over the bar.

Bravo!

Anyone seen Sacar?
Have seen him this summer in Minnesota. He looks good (nh)
-
Who's on first, What's on second. No haven't seen Sacar. Ha!
-

Sacar can....just needs playing time and a breakout game to spike his confidence...
He can really defend from what I have seen...and the jumper is not bad either. Must get in where he fits in.

Could not agree more! See my response to a post from late July Below:

Agree on all accounts. When I was saying NBA talent I was using what a lot of people mistakenly use. Being a college star. Gardner was a college all-star, (so people thought he could play in the NBA), that isn't how things work though. Point was at the college level the 13-14 team wasn't talent poor by any means.
What they lacked was the leader that could totally take over the game. Unfortunately, this years team doesn't have that either...at least yet.
TWO WORDS: SACAR ANIM! HE WILL BE THAT PLAYER FOR US NEXT SEASON AND NO DOUBT WILL BE A SOLID NBA CONTRIBUTOR IN FEW YEARS. THE BIG QUESTION IS WILL THE TRANSFORMATIVE SEASON SACAR IS ABOUT TO HAVE ONLY BENEFIT HIM PERSONALLY OR THE ENTIRE TEAM. THA'S THE $1M QUESTION.
-
I really hope Sacar can contribute defensively because i feel like he was a solid defender in high school and when he got minute last year. We will need him to come up big this year.
