When Marquette and Providence first met this season, the Golden Eagles were starving for a Big East win. They had dropped their first two conference games, both by double digits, before going into the Dunkin' Donuts Center and nipping the No. 8 Friars, 65-64.

At this point, except for DePaul and Villnova games, every MU win is going to hurt a team's NCAA bid hope. We are in the position to be a spoiler for Providence, Georgetown, Creighton and Butler.
