Sacar got to the line a lot but 11-17 wasn't great.
Think he shot well in high school.
Hopefully him, Duane and Hank improve that

Not worried about Duane he was shooting 90% at one point last year. Henry does need to improve his free throws because he will get to the line a lot.

Yeah Duane was at 90% but he ended in the low 70s didn't he?
He's gotta be one of the guys we can count on. Luke will get their a lot so 16-21 is hopefully around is norm

It was one of the mysteries of the season. He completely lost focus or confidence or something. He went from having perfect form -- and near-perfect results -- to just hoping the ball would go in. Weird. Here's hoping he's got it figured out!
Agree about Henry, too. If he's as good as those who know this kind of stuff say he is, he will get a ton of FTs. Gotta make 'em for it to matter.

Two things - Duane was only a 77.6% FT shooter - far from perfect - in nonconference games. The 9/17 performance vs. ASU did him in.. first 7 games were great, but that's just 7 games.
Re: Henry and 'gotta make 'em for it to matter'... in general, that's not true. Gotta get to the line and you're good. I think HE can be a 66-67% FT guy and that's absolutely fine.
Marquette scored less than a point per possession last season. A 50% FT shooter at the line for two scores a point per possession before even considering OR's. Getting to the line is the key.

3rd leading rebounder among the starters, 4th overall (behind Fischer, HE and Heldt). Not bad for a point guard.

If Henry really is the superstar and great shooter he is reputed to be, I hafta admit I'd be a little disappointed if he's only at 67%.
I won't be crushed or depressed or say that everybody was wrong about him. Just a little disappointed.

Excellent point. If you can get a point and foul per possession, you're really doing something right.

Definitely, trying to somewhat normalize these stats to a longer shot clock, I multiplied this by 24/30. (I know it doesn't exactly correlate, but I think its worth at least considering on an internet message board).

If your analysis is anywhere close to accurate, I would argue that the team should always pretend that there is a 24-second clock. We would score more points in every game.

Yeah, but probably give up a lot more when we stopped defending for the last 6 seconds of every possession ;)

Definitely understood, just know that the game will slow down a bit when moving back to a 30 second shot clock. Wanted to point that out in the stats as well, understanding that my quick analysis really isn't concrete at all.
