Not a scientific numbers study, but a quick look at the box scores for the last 7 MU-UW games (excluding '01, since the officials for that game somehow weren't listed in the box score) shows an interesting pattern - four instances of the same zebra officiating the Eagle-Rodent contest in back-to-back years:
'05 and '06 - Ed Hightower
'05 and '06 - Tim Higgins
'03 and '04 - John Higgins
'02 and '03 - Tom O'Neill
But - perhaps the better news for this season - no individual zebra has officiated the Eagle-Rodent contest three years in a row. Not sure if this "no three-peat" pattern is mandated by the NCAA, but perhaps this is a sliver of hope that our dear friends Ed and Tim might not be blowing their foul-oneous magic whistles in Madison on December 8th.

John Higgins would not be a problem with me. not nearly as bad as Tim when it comes to insane foul calls. pretty consistent from what I remember

...whatever. Jerel just picked up his second foul. :o
