Title: Wojo in Stevens Point tonight
Post by: muhoops1 on December 20, 2014, 08:36:28 PM
Watching SPASH play West Depere.  Point up 41-28 @ half vs UW bound Breven Pritzle.  My buddy said Wojo needs to sign Sam and Joe NOW to seal the deal.

He has offered Sam.  He can't sign him until next November.

More of a reflection of how well the Freshman is playing as opposed to a literal statement.  Bo Ryan is there as well.

Pritzle is on DePere not West DePere

My bad on which Des Pere.  SPASH up 57-39 after 3 Qtrs.  Point is being paced by Trevor Anderson w/ 30.  He's the PG and son of the HC.  Neither MU or UW have shown interest...I believe Crean had some earlier in his career.

He was up there not too long ago as well... clearly showing Sam some love.

Trevor Anderson is being recruited by Northern Iowa, Creighton and Drake. Not real fast but has knowledge of the game and knows where he wants to go with the ball and gets it there. He is an excellent shooter. Gym was
full. Pritzl is very good plays hard on both ends. Mentioned  earlier, Wojo better get Sam and Joe Hauser now.

Not worried about Wojo recruiting.  From what I've been able to hear and read up on, the staff is really doing it's due diligence in researching options for this spring and beyond.  As far as Hauser, Wojo has made it pretty clear that Sam is on Wojo's priority list for 2016, so if Sam goes elsewhere, it's because he didn't want to go to Marquette.

Woo needs to get a HS freshman now.

The Hauser parents want the boys to play together in college too.

CC was in Point last week or the week before to watch Joe Gallon.  He plays at Pacelli a small Catholic school.  Averaging 37 PPG against weak competition.  He transferred from a loaded SPASH team.  I heard the Florey's shopped their son at SPASH as well and were told he wouldn't be guaranteed a starting spot.

How did Hauser play as well as Pritzl?

DEFENSE. But each player played to their team need. Pritzl has to score. Sam Hauser has 2 other players plus a good supporting cast.

James Gollon from Pacelli in Stevens Point. Stands 6-5. His brother or cousin Jacob played for Mercer in
2014 NCAA Tourney. Was instrumental in beating Duke then lost to Tennessee.

It's his older brother.  Both are good.  Not sure if James is a major D1 player, but he sure can score.

I don't know much about Hauser. How good do you guys think he can be for a team like us?

In the games I watched Sam Hauser in he looked real smooth.  Good ball handler, nice shot, surprisingly rebounded better then I thought.  Long arms.  Solid. Poised as a coaches son.  Played tough defense.

I believe Mark Miller had him at the top of Wisconsin prospects this year, but it's not nearly as strong of a class as last year. He's the one name I've heard Wojo following a lot as far as 2016. He sounds talented, and the time Wojo is spending following makes me think he's a serious option.
