If Fox wants to just dub the radio feed over or even not have announcers, it'll be an upgrade on that front.

Better than Mowins and Tim Welsh.

I thought they did a pretty good job.

Nowhere near the worst we've had this season.

Rafferty and Lundquist. They're each annoying enough on their own but together, I'd rather pop my own eardrums than listen to them. Rafferty especially.

Len Elmore is a special kind of awful as well.

The only thing I question about LaPhonso is why the hell he lives in South Bend. I know he's a domer, but c'mon, South Bend is a hole. He had a lengthy NBA career and made some cash, he can do better.

I actually like the old man team of Rafferty and Lundquist. In total agreement on Len Elmore though, truly awful.

Len Elmore was the worst. He is the benchmark against which pitiful color comentators in basketball should be compared. Do you have more than one thing to say about any player or team that is playing? If so, then you're already better than that failure.

They totally focused on the game and what was going on before them. Not the usual ESPN BS of talking about everything but the game being played. Second time I've heard La Phonso and he does not irritate me, which is high praise.

The over-enthusiast noises get to me after a while.

I also can't stand Al Michaels/Chris Collinsworth on SNF.

The Turtle is not a fool though. Harvard Law grad, practicing attorney. Famous story about him, a 64 oz steak dinner and the Pfister toilet where he lived while with the Bucks. The Turtle went to Power Memorial and considered signing with Marquette before inking with the Lefthander to play for the Terps.

His son pitched at Princeton. Good family.

He should stick to lawyering then because his commentary makes him sound like an idiot.

Well, Marv Albert and Steve Kerr are the best. Unfortunately, they don't do college hoops.

At the college level, it's hard to beat Bilas as an analyst. Unfortunately, he doesn't do it often and when he does they make him part of a three-man team with Raftery, who has fallen absolutely in love with his catchphrases and has turned into a caricature of himself.

Kerr has done some NCAA tourney games in the past.

It irritates me how everyone mistakes Blue and Mayo.  I think it's happened in every game so far.  Even last night, after Vander scored his 28th point and missed the and 1, the announcer called him Mayo.  This was with like 2 minutes left in the game.  Mayo hadn't done anything worth mentioning all game long, Vander was dominating the court, but he still managed to mix them up.

I can see how Blue and Mayo could be confused due to their bodies.  This comes from somebody who frequently confuses Lockett with Jake Thomas on distant action shots.

I find Lockett and Anderson to be the ones that I have trouble telling the difference between--similar builds and complexion from afar.  Especially on rebounds and loose balls, since both are long and pretty frenetic.

Explain.  For confusing a black guy with a black guy or a white guy with a black guy?  It seems like the two in conjunction would diffuse any logical argument.

I agree.  This is the description of someone who is not a racist.  This is someone who literally is not seeing skin color.

Shulman is the best play by play man.   He does an amazing job with vitale, considering the personality that vitale is.

Bill Walton, overheard talking to the street vendor from whom he's bought lunch:"Quite possibly the greatest hot dog ever made, in this or any city".

Knight is awful. He doesn't learn the players' names, he kisses coaches' butts and he often has trouble finishing his thoughts.

Bilas is the best in college right now. Shulman is solid. Already was looking forward to the game, obviously; now even more.

But Knight breaks down the action in a way that provides real insight vs the run of the mill color dudes who state the obvious. Knight isn't the most articulate but he sees things to which we novices are oblivious. I would disagree that he ass kisses coaches. I have head him rip coaches for tactics.

Bob Knight is horrible.  He's too much x's and o's.  I don't need to hear about what play he thinks the team should be running every single time down the court.
