Title: Juan Anderson now rated 69 on Rivals
Post by: NersEllenson on September 16, 2010, 04:33:10 PM
He is now a 4-star player, rated 69...seems we were in on him early, before his stock rose to this level.  Most reports I'd seen previously had him as a 3-star.

Loved the video of his game..thought he had major skills, albeit, it was a You Tube highlight package...

As of 3 weeks ago, we were in his final four along with Arizona State, Cal, and Oregon.  Not sure if anything has changed since then.

The only thing that has changed is his rating..he's gone up a lot since then..as far as I'm aware those other schools are still in the mix.

That's because there are major disagreements about his talent.

Scout's west coast guy has him as the #1 small forward out there, but he hasn't even played enough on the national stage for the national guys to give him a star rating yet.  ESPN still lists him as a 3 star player in their most up to date rankings, but at the same time one of their guys said he was a Top 3 wing on the west coast.  Bob Gibbons doesn't include him among the Top 125 players in the class, but HoopMasters has him tied for #100.  Heck, after the summer period where supposedly his stock rose to a level where most think he's at least a high major player, HoopScoop actually dropped him more than 50 spots, all the way down to #178.

I really like anderson...each time i have seen that video i have been very pleasantly surprised by how technically sound he is.  he is obviously agreat athlete and seems to have good size and strength but he is as fundamenatlly sound as any kid you will see.
