I doubt he will duplicate last year's numbers because he won't be starting and likely won't get very much playing time behind Brandon Roy.

Nah. Just happened to live on the same floor as an assistant coach and his wife and mine became friends and we met people that way. My wife hung out with the other wives to watch games. They gossip! Hung out with a player once. Good dude but once his rookie deal was over he was back overseas.

sorry if it makes you envious I was lucky enough to have those experiences. It's fun. coaches can be quite candid, primarily about management too and there were some great player stories, nothing bad). One was a doomsday prepper who has a bunker in the woods. Seriously.
What was also said about Wes as A) they guy was a bear to coaches as he always wanted to work out with them. They loved that about him. Also, whenever there were community events he volunteered. My buddy who was the promo guy said if nobody else volunteered they would call Wes and he would show up.
