Cool interview with Wes.  Has a relationship with LeBron.  Good for him.

Thanks to the news feed above, it looks like Wes is going to keep his starting spot.  Sloan also says in the article that Wes has the highest defensive statistics on the team.

In the interview Wes said he is willing to switch from 23 to 11 for Jordan.

During the TV interview....they ask what number he was going to change to .....he originally said 45....the interviewer seemed stunned....Wes responds with "no, just joking"....what was that about?

he's always so well spoken in interviews..., he could have another great career when his playing days are over.

Jordan switched to 45.

I still remember the game when he switched from 45 to 23 at halftime. David Stern fined him big money. Well big money for anyone else that is.

Ha! That's hilarious. He's representing MU really well with the way he's playing and handling himself. Definitely making the most of his chance.

Wes mentioned the phrase "one percent better every day." I know a lot of the players repeat this phrase a lot.

And you can see it this weekend. They have absolutely bought in to what Buzz is teaching, especially on the defensive end. I have a hard time believing this is the same team I saw look pretty bad against UMES 11 days ago. The improvement they've shown is staggering. I thought they'd be competitive this weekend, but I didn't think there was a chance in hell they would beat two tourney teams by double digits.

Buzz has done a helluva coaching job, and the team has executed very well.

Nice little interview.  A great face for Marquette as a university and a basketball program because of his demeanor.  It also doesn't hurt when he gives a shout out to the program and the coaching staff for getting him "battle tested..."  Wish him nothing but the best with the Jazz.
