UWM gets contract from MU
A UW-Milwaukee athletics spokesman confirmed this afternoon that a signed contract from Marquette University which would restart the men's basketball series between the two schools has been received.

No alterations were made to the contract, sent by Marquette via U.S. mail. It runs from 2007-'08 to 2011-'12 and includes four home games for Marquette and one for UWM.

The first game, hosted by Marquette, is scheduled for either Nov. 30 or Dec. 1, 2007 at the Bradley Center.

Thank God MU sent it via US Mail, and not FedEx.   ::)

Why is the mail delivery method mentioned in everyone of these articles?

'Cause the 2 annonymous dudes who forked over 20k for the series, what a waste of money, didn't cough up a few more sheckles for messenger service.

What!  No press conference?

I know where this rates on MU's list of importance but I would have bet a ton of money UWM would have had a press conference, balloons, a marching band and lots of confetti.
