Hope they don't jinx us on the 3-in-a-row deal.

Game notes:

*Marquette has won three straight games in BIG EAST play. It is the third time in school history that it has won three straight BIG EAST games.  Marquette has never won four BIG EAST games in a row. Marquette has not won four-straight conference games since the 2002-03 season when it won nine in a row followed by five in a row later in the year.

* MU's win at Louisville snaps a two game losing streak at Freedom Hall.

* Junior Ousmane Barro had his fourth double double of the season and his second back-to-back double double. He had 14 points and 11 rebounds. He has averaged 12 rebounds per game in each of the last two.

* Marquette was 14-of-17 from the free throw line, hitting 82 percent in the game. It was a season high in free throw percentage for the Golden Eagles.

* Marquette shot 50 percent or better from the floor for the second straight game. Marquette has shot 51.4 percent (55-for-107) over the last two games. It was just the second time this season that a team has shot 50 percent or better against Louisville.

* Marquette had four players in double figures for the third-straight game. It was the fifth time this season that the team of Barro, Dominic James, Wesley Matthews and Jerel McNeal have all scored 10 or more. MU is 5-0 in those games.

* McNeal tied a season and career high with seven assists, the sixth time he has had seven assists. It is the second-straight game in which McNeal has had seven assists.

* McNeal had one steal on the night to give him 61 for the season. He is one steal away from moving into a tie for 10th on the single-season list at Marquette.

* Marquette had 13 turnovers, its lowest total in five games, since recording 12 in the BIG EAST opener at Providence. It is the eight time this season that Marquette has had 13 or fewer turnovers.

* Marquette owned a 33-29 rebound advantage. The Golden Eagles have out-rebounded their opponents 12 times this season, winning each game.

* Senior Mike Kinsella had two of Marquette's four bench points. It is the first two points of the season for Kinsella, who missed 11 games with injury earlier in the year.

Ouch...only 4 bench points.  I'd like to see that improve, though I have to imagine this was a season low in bench points.  Cube wasn't hitting, Lazar didn't get his usual put-back points, Burke had trouble with his handle., etc.
