Wesley Matthews
- A good feeling, a good performance. This is the MU team everyone should get used. Moving the ball, getting open shots, and having fun.
- Ball movement was the best thing today. They shot well, taking less shots, and taking better one. Getting up and down the court, playing tough D, scoring, rebounding.
- Doing better attacking the basket aggressively. Easier to take the lead and keep it, than always play catchup.
- Need James to be aggressive on D and he's being doing it well lately. Taking his game to another level, and MU needs him to do that.
- Had to stop WVU as a team - everybody can shoot and make plays. MU didn't just focus on one guy, or thing..
- WVU playing man defense did confuse MU for initially, and they kept switching.

- Best things today: 19 assists on offense, 5-22 (WVU) for 3 was good on defense. Crowd overpowered the arena today - and that helped a ton. Great to recognize the former players, coaches, and Managers today. Great that they could see "their" team play well.
- Man defense from WVU: Their MO is to play 1-3-1 on makes, and man on misses. MU wanted to score against 2-3 and on out of bounds plays. Needed to get ball in middle of zone - they did that - not as well in first half. Didn't want to get worked up over the D they were going against, but just play.
- Excellent game for DJ, great week for him. "New and improved" all the time. Rebounds were great. He's played very well - doesn't have to be better than what he's playing, because he makes everyone else better. Took great shots, and moved the ball well.
- Fitz played great defense against Alexander - who is extremely talented and quick.
- 17 TOs and only 12 assists for WVU. Watched film on every 3pt shot they took last year. Usually came from over-helping. Didn't want to let the dribble beat them today. MU scored last year, but couldn't stop them off the dribble. Stopping that was key.
- Talked about BBall hall of fame, and how they presentation at half was to get the same plaque hanging at the Al that is hanging in the HOF. Choked up talking about the tradition, and great to be a part of it even if he wasn't here at the time.
