Is it just me or does the face look smashed or something? Something isn't right. It doesn't look like young Henry Winkler.
EDIT: Bad picture by the Journal Sentinal. I went out and took a better one down further in this thread.

For reference here is a young Fonz:

At Miller Park the Hank Aaron statue looks exactly like him. In Chicago, the Harry Caray, Ernie Banks, Michael Jordan, etc. statues all look nearly identical to the person.
This one, though, bothers me for some reason.
I think the statue looks like Robert Patrick in Terminator 2.

Haha it does! Great call.
On a related note, I played golf yesterday at the Oscar de la Hoya foundation tournament and was paired up with Bruce McGill. Who is Bruce McGill you might ask? Well D-Day, of course, from Animal House (he's also been in about 100's of other things). He just got done shooting "W", Oliver Stone's new movie about President Bush....McGill plays George Tenet. McGill is absolutely hilarious and we had a great time talking about Animal House and all the stuff he's been in.
Coincidentally, Henry Winkler's name came up as well. Bruce was talking about the deal Henry had with the studios when they basically couldn't pay him any more so they put him in as a Director instead of paying him the episodic wages at the time. Winkler, apparently, is one of the nicest guys out there according to McGill.

Thats pretty sweet you got to golf with D-Day.... Animal House.. the movie every college student needs to watch while in school. They should show that movie on orientation.
I went to check out the statue and in person it does look like him. The Journal Sentinal just took a really bad angle on their shot. The water behind him though makes me feel like he's about to jump the shark. Here is a picture I took.
I think we could get a Marquette t-shirt on him. A hat for sure.

The 30th anniversary was last week of the movie coming out. He said they filmed it in 31 days on about $3.8 million budget. Chump change. Just a great guy and willing to answer any question....I was a kid in the candy store to be honest. ON the 17th hole he came over and "laid hands on me" to bless me because we needed a good drive. I had been hitting my irons great all day but my drives were crap. It was a 235 yard Par 3.....I drilled it, best drive of the day for me. Hit the green and rolled off on the fringe but the rest of our team was all over the place so it was a saving shot. He started going crazy....talk about a site. It was great to have D-Day doing the "we're not worthy" signal. Great times that I won't forget anytime soon.
i think it looks more like henry winkler now, but with fonzie's hair from back then.
Didn't McGill play Walter Hagen in Bagger Vance? I seem to recall reading somewhere that he has a fair amount of game. Does he?

He sure did. He told us that was by far his most favorite movie he's ever done because he played golf and got paid for it. The guy is really good. That yearly tournament in Lake Tahoe with the athletes and actors, he's in it every year. A few years back he led on the final day before "collapsing" as he put it. But he's definitely a good golfer. Probably a 3 or 4 handicap if I were to guess. Used to be scratch but he doesn't play as much anymore due to his schedule.
