Johnnie Lacy to commit to Tennesse soon.
Says who?
Before anybody rips Cy for his low post count and trying to stir up trouble, I should point out that he is a respected member of the Iowa State forums who usually has pretty good info. Not saying he's correct about Lacy, but he's not the type to troll.
Cy could be right and I was not trying to rip him, just wondering where he got his info.

Not saying you were Mark, just that when that kind of claim comes from someone with 1 post, pretty quickly that person get's trashed for their post count and their claims get dismissed just because they don't have 1000 posts.
Should we also look for Lacy to fail to qualify academically for TN about 17 months from now? :o
was 4ever his agent?
Guess he couldn't say no to this?

Wow. Does the phrase "outkicked his coverage" pop into anyone else's mind when looking at her and...him?
wow.. and his sweat has pooled up so much around him there's boats sailing in it..
I stopped making fun of Bruce Pearl the day that photo first popped up. Bravo, Bruce. Bravo.
That's his daughter's friend he's dry humping I believe. (the girl cropped out on the left in each pic is his daughter)

so 4never's real name is Steve? Steve Pearl? huh.
IF that's true, then I hope we get Junior or another highly rated PG.
Can't sorry I'm sorry to hear it. Do we really need a 5-10 shooting guard who may have academic problems?
Basically, Jonnie will probably qualify from prep school, and right now Tennesse is his favorite.

So he isn't a 2009 commit, and that he will give a 2010 verbal to Tennessee and go to prep-school for a year?
Fine by me. We need a PG in 2009.
He will still be '09, just go prep instead of his senior year. IMo, he is vastly overrated, as big of a ball hog as you will ever see.

Where have you seen him play?

So he's dropping out of Bay View? I'm not saying you're wrong, but this is the only place I have heard that.
He's not necesarily dropping out, just transferring to a prep. And no, I haven't seen him play, but have talked to 5 or 6 different knowledgeable people about him, and they say he is a huge ball hog, and vastly overrated. They also said he is single handedly responsible for Jamil Wilson's drop in the rankings, since he never passes him the ball.

But they don't play for the same team. Jamil doesn't attend Bay View...so can you please elaborate on what Lacy has to do with Wilson's drop in the rankings?

rankings don't emphasize h.s. teams as much as they do AAU teams and both JW and Lacy play for the same AAU team.
No inside info here, but from what I've read and heard it sounds like Lacy would have loved to have played for Marquette; however, Marquette wasn't all that interested in him. I like the thought of Tennessee taking players that would rather be at MU ;D
Anyhow, did TC cool on this kid or was it Buzz taking over and cooling on him?
Seems like Buzz is very confident he can find a better fit for MU to use the scholarship on.

The cooling off started with Buzz. TC was the one that offered Lacy and was going after him pretty hard. But if you read the comments from Lacy's coaches, Buzz barely contacted Lacy once he took over.

Thanks bma. I'm glad he did. I surely won't wish the kid bad, but I think MU can find a better fit.

Thanks. I should have known that.

and quite often Jamil Wilson brings the ball up against pressure and on most occasions handles the ball more than Lacy.
Lacy isn't your typical point guard. Think more Allen Iverson.
He actually is more of a 2, that is short...and he shoots way too often.
