I would think us vs. Bucky would be pretty high too.

Per Andy Katz @ ESPN:

16. Oklahoma
The Sooners might have one of the top draft picks on their roster next season in Blake Griffin. He has a chance to bully his way in the post toward a Big 12 player of the year award. Add in the return of shooting guard Tony Crocker and a solid recruiting class, and the Sooners can legitimately challenge for the league title.

This might be creating some of the buzz.  Other than that I am not sure, as USC isn't even in many preseason polls.

Quote17) West Virginia at Ohio State – Dec. 27

This was the one that threw me off.

I think the allure to this one is that West Virginia is coached by Huggy and they should be top 5 Big East. Also, Ohio State does continue to reel in elite talent so they could be in the hunt for a Big Ten title.

Plus I'm sure after Huggy's time in "the 'Nati" there is bound to be some animosity , even if it may solely created by ESPN.

There is long standing hatred between the two schools stemming more from the football side of the equation. "Little sister" syndrome.  I know, UC hasn't beaten Ohio State in a century, but the Bearcats are one of the oldest football programs in the country.

I am more than well aware of griffin...it still begs the question of how this could possibly be the #7 rated matchup.

My guess is that these are all national tv games. MU-UW is probably not a national tv game.
