Just some quick updates for a Friday morning

• Mark Miller from Wishoops.net has updated his 2009 rankings (http://www.wissports.net/sports/hoopsb/article.asp?nid=14959) with a new number one for the state of Wisconsin.  Marquette recruit Jeronne Maymon (http://wiki.muscoop.com/doku.php/men_s_basketball_recruits/jeronne_maymon) has been rated as the #1 player according to Mark Miller based on:
  

Quote... his incredibly consistent productivity, both at the high school level for coach Steve Collins at Memorial and on the travel-team circuit this past spring for the Wisconsin Gators Elite and the Illinois Bobcats.

• Also according to Mark, Johnnie Lacy (http://wiki.muscoop.com/doku.php/men_s_basketball_recruits/johnnie_lacy) has been extended a scholarship by Minnesota (http://www.wissports.net/sports/hoopsb/article.asp?nid=14957).  Rumors abound that Marquette may be backing of their recruitment of Lacy.

• ESPN has updated their 2009 Player Rankings (http://insider.espn.go.com/ncb/recruiting/tracker/espn100?season=2009&display=all&set=0&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fncb%2frecruiting%2ftracker%2fespn100%3fseason%3d2009%26display%3dall%26set%3d0).  BMA725 has a nice summary of Marquette targets on MUScoop (http://www.muscoop.com/index.php?topic=9332.0).  It's nice to see a lot of top 100 names associated with Marquette.

• In somewhat late news, a nice summary from NBE Basketball Report (http://w3.nbebasketball.com/index.php/big-east-news-notes-6102008/#more-2241) suggests that Marquette may soon see four unofficial visits.  Names listed for unofficials with Marquette include Tobias Harris, Donald Williams, Kevin Parrom, and Omari Lawrence.
  

• In other news for stat-heads, John Hollinger has evaluated the greatest NBA Finals performances (http://proxy.espn.go.com/nba/playoffs2008/columns/story?columnist=hollinger_john&page=FinalsPerformances-1&lpos=spotlight&lid=tab1pos1).  Both Dwyane Wade (http://wiki.muscoop.com/doku.php/men_s_basketball/dwyane_wade) and Bennett Salvatore appreciate the recognition.
