The recruiting WIKI has a ton of great information in it these days, but lots of MU targets still don't have a page set up. For just the cost of a cup of coffee, you can adopt a recruit and give them a wiki page!

Sheldon Cooley just wants a nice wiki page to call his own

If you take just a few mins to update the wiki when you are bored at work, soon all Marquette recruits can have a home. And remember, if you have no idea how to update the wiki, but have some information, you can always ask for help here!
great idea. SonsofSamHorn does this for Red Sox MiLB prospects, and it works out very well
Erik Williams needs some wiki love too, who will take the time to take care of our boy...

Whew...you're just talking about adopting a recruit's wiki page.
Reading the title, I was worried you were actually talking about adopting future MU recruits - which might be a recruiting violation :D
added page for David Brown from Rockton, Illinois

Sure hope "adopting" works .. over the past couple years, I've tried everything from bribing wiki-volunteers with free magnets and posters, contests, and outright cajoling. Limited success.
One Recruit has found a home in the Wiki, now we just need to adopt the rest. It's Friday, you are on the forum with not a lot of action, why not take a few mins and update the wiki (or at least check it out), it's what Jesus would do!

Taken from the Marquette Mission Statement:
Marquette is a Catholic, Jesuit university dedicated to serving God by serving our students and contributing to the advancement of knowledge. OUR MISSION is the search for truth, the discovery and sharing of knowledge, the fostering of personal and professional excellence, the promotion of a life of faith, and the development of leadership expressed in service to others. All this we pursue for the greater glory of God and the common benefit of the human community.
The highlighted sections are why you should spend 20 mins and update the wiki, Jesus wants you to update the wiki!
Questions to the MUWiki Gods:
"What happens when a player (with a created page) commits to another program?"
"Do the pages get subsequently deleted?"
In this day and age, I don't think we should delete anything. If a recruit goes somewhere else, I would imagine we would update the wiki to reflect that and move on to getting our own guys. In a couple years it will be nice to have a record of who Marquette was looking at and what happened to them in college/pros.

Agreed - storage is cheap. Besides, if you "delete" a page in the wiki, it still has a revision history so you can always revert back to it. So deleting doesn't save any space.
The only "maintenance" I plan is to move a recruits page to the main bball section once they've shown up on campus.
New to the Wiki game. How do I adopt Dwight Buycks?

Go here and create his page:
Dwight Buycks
http://wiki.muscoop.com/doku.php/men_s_basketball_recruits/dwight_buycks
It didn't go that hot but I put in basic info on Buycks. I don't know how to add him to the men's recruiting page, I'll leave it up to you guys. Also uploaded a pic of Buycks but it doesn't show up on his page.
Check the page again, is that the pic?

Yep, that's the correct pic. I can also add some info on 09 recruit PF Ray Turner if you set it up or show me how.

Nice stuff, Jovi! Thanks!
No prob bob.
Ray Turner info is added as well.
