I don't ever post here, but just wanted to bring this to the board's attention:
Per Mark Miller, Tony Walls will be attending UWGB instead - it is cheaper for him to play both sports there.

Thats a shitty rule that he can't recieve a soccer scholarship if he walks on to the basketball team.
I guess it keeps schools from abusing other sports scholarships but still.
not sure why he is just realizing this now this was speculated and explained on the board 6 mos. ago.

There's more to the story. This isn't news to Walls. Best of luck to Tony.
No loss here, move on.

For the soccer program, it is a significant loss.
Unfortunate for the soccer team.
Not a big deal for the basketball team-I remember when we did the investigation into his scholarship situation a couple months back that we found out that based on his high school numbers there was a good chance Tommy Brice would own him in one-on-one.
I agree he isn't a loss for basketball but that sucks for soccer.
Is UWGB good at soccer? I don't understand why you would give up your primary sport of soccer under a great coach of Louis Bennett with Big East compition and go to UWGB just so you could also sit on the bench for b-ball.
I realize the guys soccer team has struggled the last few years but its been a transistion peroid for Louis while he gets his system and players in here.
