And who said his father would not influence where he would go? And who said sometimes parents actually let their children make decisions?. This is about the fifth article all quoting his father, as he utilizes the word "we".
I love this kid's talent and what he could bring to the team, but........
Maymon Set To Make Decision Tomorrow

Jeronne Maymon is set to make his college decision Tuesday at 8am (CST).
His father Timothy told Cyclones Sports Report on Monday that his son is still considering four and possibly a fifth school before he makes his final decision. "I would say it's down to Baylor, Marquette, Iowa State, USC, and Kansas," said Maymon's father. "We are talking with Kansas but they have not offered so until they do that it's really down to the other four schools."
When asked about Iowa State forward Wesley Johnson's recent decision to transfer, he replied, "We saw that and realize that obviously if Jeronne picked Iowa State it would increase his chances to come in and start right away," he said. "That's really what he wants is the chance to come in and start. He likes pressure situations
ames, iowa. 290 miles from madison and about a 4.5 hour drive. Dad could make that easily if he watned to run up and down the sidelines. so, we'll know soon.
Having Maymon on the team sounds like a big gamble. His family almost sounds like a distraction. Also his academics. Sounds like he could or would be a problem child. He may need to pick a loser if he wants to be the star ASAP.
At 8:01 a.m. Buzz can focus his recruiting efforts on someone else.

With gas over $4/gallon, can he afford it? MU is a lot closer and he'll save thousands over Maymon's career.

In an interview with a local Madison station yesterday, when asked how important it was to start, Maymon said "On a scale of 1 to 10, it is a 10."
Honestly, he will not start at MU. He should play and if he does well would get significant minutes, but I am having trouble envisioning how he is going to start as a freshman with the frontcourt as it stands now.
I'm not losing sleep if he goes elsewhere.
8 am CST he announces...where or how is he announcing this decision? 11 minutes and counting...

If he's good enough, I don't see any reason he couldn't start his freshman season. He'd have to beat out a player or two, but it's certainly possible.
Survey says??????????

There's another thread about it, but according to Rivals, Maymon committed to MU.
