Post by: miltownsports on December 19, 2006, 06:52:23 PM
Anyone know where i can get a video of the 2003 elite eight game v. Kentucky?  I really want to see that and live those memories again.

I got it where I got the Duke game, however there was a lack of sound, so I am still looking for it with sound, still a top 10 game Ive seen, one of the best days of my short lived 21 year old life.

not sure if it was you, but someone else was having problem with sound...you may want to try downloading an AC3 encoder, I was having the same problem initially, but after I did that and installed it the sound came back.  You can find them free all over the web, just type it into google.

Can't you also purchase it from the MU library?

I think that's only games prior to 1990.

Think Marquette should make a series of the top ten games in Marquette history, and sell it, I would buy it   ;)  ... hopefully someone sees this and actually makes it   .... don't know all ten games it would include, but MU vs. Kentucky in 2003, 77 Final, MU vs Duke this year?

I would buy that in a second.  Similarly, I'd love to have a produced version of the Final Four run.  MU could even make it with the Kansas game optional.

no.. I think he's talking about the kansas game from the year before.. the kentucky game was the last game that year.. when we won it we won the championship.. IIRC all the other teams just bowed out...  ;D

Has anyone had any success burning movies downloaded from the MU video website to DVD?  I tried using Nero but no dice.  I even tried using a free trial version of ''convertxtodvd" which worked only when I played it on the same computer that I burned it on, that and it had a really annoying watermark in the middle of the picture for most of the video.  I was wondering if anyone knows of any cheap/free software that will burn the avi videos to a dvd that will actually play in a normal dvd player.

Going back to the Tops 10 Marquette games...

Now I know I'm a young buck, but the two Kentucky Games 1993 (Sweet Sixteen upset; they'd go on and play GHill and Duke and lose by 10) and 2003 are awesome games to put on there.

2003 game at Louisville would make my list.   Those 2 games against Louisville that year were incredible.  Reece Gaines hitting that shot after Diener had tied it.   Then MU goes back to Louisville and all sort of talk about who should be CUSA player of the year. Gaines or Wade.
Louisville takes it to MU in the first half only to half MU shave a few points off before half then put the hammer down in the second half.  I was fired up after that one.
