With our coaching changes and all, does MU still have a chance with this guy. He lists Marquette as a target school but I am not so sure we are still "in" with him.

Buzz needs to get some assistants on board fast to keep the recruiting pipeline (other than Texas) open.
I think we have a chance with most 4-stars that will put us on their list. Buzz still needs to get out there and sell this program to them because he won't have a chance to prove this program until a lot of them are already signed.
Q. What would you say is your biggest attribute in your game?
A. I think it's running up and down the floor, because a lot of big men don't do that. Coaches tell me that's how you get a lot of easy buckets, by running the floor quick and it's true.
I hope we're still in the running. I bet he ends up at Pittsburgh though.
Sounds like he has a great basketball I.Q.
Buzz needs an assistant with strong ties to the east coast and another to the mid-west to compliment the Texas/South recruiting.
It appeared as though Crean was trying to make progress in the Maryland/DC area before he left. Does anyone know if it was because one of his assistants had ties there? I think Creek, another 4 star player, had interest in us and Sutton was from there as well.

Not sure how up to date that info in the article is, because they list both Kentucky and MU, neither of whom made Fitzgerald's top 4. It didn't have much to do with Crean leaving though, MU was never one of his top choices. Back in February, Fitzgerald listed his top 5 as Pitt, Seton Hall, Maryland, WSU and Kentucky. He said MU was coming after him hard but didn't put them among the favorites. Then recently he named his top 4, which was the same list but without Kentucky. MU was never really under serious consideration despite Crean's attempts to get involved, so it really didn't make much difference when he left.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Unless the Buzzard's appearance has now put us in contention! ;)
Andrew should realize that we need another Fitzgerald - ours is graduating - jeez - what else does he need to know?
Buzz needs to sharpen his plan - we need assistants now to get the edge and get moving on recruiting. What I didn't like about the Taylor thing is he said, even after speaking with Buzz etc. he was not convinved, or soemthing to taht effect. And yeah, I know Hurley is pulling those strings, but we want to hear a cosnsitent pisitive message. We need assistants now! (great ones tho!)
