Lemaire calls Crean a "great coach"-----please  someone tell me how a "great coach" can be 40 wins and 48 losses starting with the first loss in feb and then through March and the post season----over the past 9 years.

He's got the media buffaloed----if he spent more time learning how to coach and less time trying to BS the media-----he might have done a lot better down the stretch without the superstar!

Murf--Any ball fan knew he was a hoax. That is why he never landed the so-called big job. He tried and tried but no one took the bait. IU took him after Bennett blew them off. Illinois blew him off, IU a couple of years ago blew him off. They did for two reason in my opinion, he is crappy coach against good teams/coaches and he was being paid too much.

IU fans will know soon enough that he is poor game coach.

I'm not very happy with Crean nowadays, but he must have done something right. 5 NCAA berths in 9 years is better than any coach here since Al. I agree he made some questionable in-game decisions, but the results speak for themselves.

I don't count the first two years, he was left with nothing...5 NCAAs in 7 years.  It was a lot of fun, hopefully Buzz can keep it going.

You might want to recheck your numbers...I went back to just the Final Four year on Ken Pom a few seconds ago, they were 43 and 34 in the last 5 years.  I stopped there.  That's a lot different then 40-48.  I assumed you meant wins in Feb and Mar, that's what I counted.
