With Fulce and potentially Butler coming, it made me think of this question.
I can think back to the Mike Flory days and not remember anyone. Can anyone help?

I think Flory transferred to MU from Colorado. Ty Baldwin was a JUCO kid, did pretty well here.

I really liked Ty Baldwin - thanks for the info.

Marcus Jackson. Hard to overlook his 8.5 rpg his senior year. It was a shame he played with an ankle sprain his entire junior year.
agreed- Marcus Jackson was most recent.
Plus MJax was our point guard for half a season.
Bob "Black Swan" Lackey and Jerome "Jay" Whitehead
Lloyd Walton
Jim Boylan

right about 'the black swan', (man, that guy could fight) but thought Jay Whitehead was a 4 year recruit. I remember Al talking about recruiting him, how he stood up when his father entered the room, kept his head bowed out of respect when his father spoke, and that was when Al knew he had the tools to work with.

Jim Boylan
Boylan did transfer to MU, but not from a JuCO. He started his career at Assumption College in MA
Sam Worthen
Sam Worthen transfered from Community College....Really good ball player

Didn't Baldwin get himself arrested at MU?

I thought that was Ron Curry that got arrested.
Whitehead came to MU from Saddleback CC in Calif. and was originally from Waukegan.

I don't recall either getting arrested. Curry was part of an infamous bar fight in which he knocked out some guy, but I don't remember it leading to charges.
For some reason, I seem to remember Damon Key finding himself in trouble with the law, though.

nope......not Tyrone or Ron
In recent memory, Marcus Jackson. All energy and dirty work guy.
Can't say the same about Kinsella.
blackledge made more sportscenter top 10's than anyother juco player.
Al McGuire had a great personal relationship with the coach at Saddleback CC. I think we had a few come from there

I met a guy at Cleo's in the Ukraine Village in Chicago. He told him he went to Marquette in the early nineties and I told him I was there in the early nineties. He proceeded to tell me how Tyrone Baldwin beat him senseless at the bar across from McCormick (I forget what it was called then). He said the administration really swept it under the rug.
The incident he told seemed credible enough. Though the way the fight started did not seem credible. He said he was just sitting in his chair and they (they basketball team) wanted the chair and he told them "no" and Baldwin started beating on him.
Obviously this a hearsay from someone I didn't know before, but that's the story I heard at good 'ole Cleo's in Chi Town.
